Every parent deserves to know the truth about vaccinations. But this day and age, it’s hard to tell what that is. So we’re just gonna lay it on the line: The choice to immunize is for the good of your child. When they’re safe and protected, they can get out there and be kids—learn, live, experience, enjoy. Plus, immunization is an important choice you make for good. Once and for all. For their whole, entire, livelong lives.
Now is every parent’s time to respect the facts, protect our children, and ask ourselves, “You good?” And as immunization rates increase, and Colorado becomes a strong, united front of protected, healthy kids, we’ll have the answer we’re all hoping for. “Yeah, we’re good.”
This website is made possible by a joint project of the Colorado Children’s Immunization Coalition, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and Vaccine Advisory Committee of Colorado (VACC). These organizations work to further childhood immunization coverage in Colorado through education, vaccine provider resources and parental support.
Colorado Children’s Immunization Coalition (CCIC) – As a statewide nonprofit, the Colorado Children’s Immunization Coalition works with parents, healthcare providers, public health departments, businesses, policy makers, and community organizations to ensure children get the vaccines they need to keep Colorado’s kids healthy. CCIC’s mission is to promote improved access, delivery, and demand for children’s vaccinations to keep Colorado healthy. CCIC does not accept funding from vaccine manufacturers or distributors.

The Vaccine Advisory Committee for Colorado (VACC) – A collaboration of some of Colorado’s brightest leaders in vaccination research, policy, and best practices to reach the goal of increasing childhood immunization coverage in Colorado. Originally co-chaired by Lieutenant Governor Barbara O’Brien and Robert Brayden, MD, this committee consists of leaders in public health, school health, child advocacy, health care, philanthropy and academia. These individuals were brought together in late 2007 by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to examine the barriers to childhood immunizations, identify pockets of need, and recommend strategies for increasing immunization coverage for all Coloradans.
In addition to the Executive Committee and the Steering Committee, which guide VACC in its mission, smaller subcommittees engage in planning and implementation to achieve specific VACC goals and objectives.
